Add & Remove Device Connections
Projects involving data collection require device/app connections. Participants can add and remove device/app connections via Settings > Add/Remove Device > Connect.
If you wanted a participant to add a Fitbit connection, instruct them to select Settings > Add/Remove Device > Fitbit Connect.
The participant must then complete third party authorization (TPA). To do so, the participant will enter the email and password associated with their Fitbit account and select ‘Login’. Next, ‘Allow All’ and select ‘Allow’ to successfully connect Fitbit to Summa.
Participants can disconnect a device at any time. To do so, simply select Settings > Add/Remove Devices > Disconnect. Participants will be informed that disconnecting devices disrupts data sharing and then press ‘Yes’ to confirm disconnection.
